What is the CAT CLAST?
The CLAST (College Level Academic Skills Test) is required of all non-exempt college students in Florida public colleges and universities. The CAT CLAST stands for the Computer Adaptive Test CLAST. This is the computerized version of the paper-and-pencil CLAST exam that is offered throughout the year. The computerized version allows you to take any section, excluding the essay portion, of the CLAST exam in a computerized format.

Any student may take the CAT CLAST who:

- has written permission from his or her home institution and

OR any student who:

Twenty-four hours after you are approved to take the CAT CLAST at UF and have paid your registration fee, you may stop by or call the Teaching Center at 392-2010 to schedule a time to take the test. No appointments will be accepted on the day of the test.
Scheduling Your Exam
Testing schedules are based on a first come, first served basis, and are limited to 15 seats per test session. When you call the Teaching Center to schedule your testing appointment, you will be asked for the receipt number given to you when you paid your registration fee. You are also required to bring the receipt with you to the exam (you can neither schedule nor take the exam without your receipt.) Please note that your petition is good for two months only. After your petition has expired, you must re-apply at 1012 Turlington (you will have to pay a second time only if you made an appointment to take the exam and failed to cancel the appointment at least 48 hours prior to testing).
